- AVID means Advancement Via Individual Determination - AVID is a way for individuals to develop skills they would have otherwise overlooked - AVID requires enrollment in pre-AP classes throughout high school - AVID requires participation in an extra-curricular activity - Students must re-apply to AVID every year - There are middle schools that currently have AVID programs - AVID is about creating long lasting relationships |
About TRAVIDTRAVID is the local William B. Travis High School AVID branch. Members grow to become a family, spending four exhilarating years together, and aiding and supporting each other in every endeavor. Together, members help each other by tutoring, connecting, and counseling one another while on the road to a higher education.
